CYBER ESSENTIALS CERTIFICATION

CYBER ESSENTIALS CERTIFICATION

More than 80% of the cyber-attacks happened on businesses in the UK could have been prevented with implementing some basic security controls.

WHAT IS THE CYBER ESSENTIALS SCHEME?

The Cyber Essentials scheme (CE) is a Government-backed, industry-supported certification.

Any company who handles sensitive and personal information is required by the UK Government to have a CE certificate.

The scheme helps businesses put security measures in place to combat common cyber security threats.

There are two levels of CE Certification: CE and CE Plus.
We offer both at JSE Computing.

WHY DO YOU NEED CE?

The certification shows your business’s commitment to Cyber Security.

Your suppliers, partners and clients feel more confident in sharing sensitive data and personal information with you. You cannot bid or tender a Government contract without CE.

WHAT DOES IT TEST?

Cyber Essentials certification tests five technical controls of your IT infrastructure:

  • Firewalls
  • Secure Configuration
  • User Access Control
  • Malware Protection
  • Patch Management
